#What We See

#WhatWeSee is a compilation of portraits I have taken of strangers, acquaintances, friends, family, and lovers throughout the years.

Behind the Screen

Even before COVID-19, connecting with others through our screens was commonplace.  Smart phones and laptop cameras make it easy to take and send self-portraits to anyone anywhere.

This screen interaction affects how we see ourselves and relate to each other.

By sharing pics and videos, including those considered NSFW (not safe for work), we can attract partners, exchange fantasies, and explore the beauty in one another.

A Day in the Life

By 5:00 am each morning, a dedicated crew at the City of Albuquerque CASA centralized kitchen begins preparing 1000 meals for the day. An assembly line of cooks and kitchen aides cook and package the meals, making sure to keep them warm (or cold) until drivers load them into temperature-regulated trucks and deliver them to homebound seniors and senior centers throughout Albuquerque.

Albuquerque Railyards

In 2018 Max and several other artists were given a rare opportunity to take photographs of the Albuquerque Railyards prior to its restoration.  One of his framed prints was displayed as part of the group show "Artist Days at the Railyards" at The South Broadway Cultural Center from January 5th-26th, 2019.

Dr. Atomic

Out of 1500 images submitted to the Santa Fe Opera in conjunction with Simply Social Media, Max's photograph was awarded the grand prize in 2017.  As a result, Max was given the opportunity to take backstage photos during a 2018 season performance of Dr. Atomic.

Sense of Place

A single green leafy tree emerges from a manicured lawn. Veiny branches radiate crimson foliage. Palatial petal walls of a rose. Barren winter tundra. Sweeping monsoon clouds.  Our diverse spaces give us meaning. Sometimes nostalgic. Sometimes unfamiliar. Whether it be the intimacy of a single flower or the grandiose chorus of trees that covers a mountain, Sense of Place explores the ways we connect to our environment.

Out of Body

Our graduation photography captures the excitement and pride of your achievement. We'll work with you to create stunning photos that showcase your personality and style.

New Mexico Landscapes

The Land of Enchantment is boundless. Its rocks, earth, and sky are constant, yet ever-changing. The land is vast, and I will never see it all in my lifetime. But I continue to search for those moments when light dances among the clouds and paints the desert. Sometimes I get to share a glimpse of that timeless, yet transitory beauty.

Figuratively Speaking

Our engagement photography captures the love and connection between you and your partner. We'll work with you to create beautiful and romantic photos that celebrate your engagement.

Bloom

Your highness, I pay tribute to you.  Your royal folds, tapestries, and ripples vibrating like light through stained glass windows.

New Mexico Men

Since 2011, Max has created a yearly calendar featuring photos of men taken in New Mexico.  A favorite with locals and fans abroad, the calendar celebrates real guys whose beauty is real, imperfect, and special, just like the state.

A portion of the proceeds has benefitted organizations such as The New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation, UNM Truman Health Services, and the New Mexico Gay Men's Chorus.

Sense of Place

Our fine art photography captures the beauty and emotion of the world around us. From stunning landscapes to breathtaking portraits, we'll help you bring a piece of art into your home.
